The author uses the technique of story inside a story to get his point across and that worked extremely well as far as the book is concerned. Every religion also has deeply uplifting ideas and thoughts that help us become better human beings. Propaganda, by nature, is seductive; it feeds into half-baked concepts and beliefs to give them shape and brooks little opposition or questioning.
It touches upon many eras of Indian history, forcing you at times to do your own research before you proceed. This book should be a textbook and should be made a compulsary read. There is a layered story telling, present times and Mughal era.
Lists with This Book. Humans have long used select passages of scriptures to justify anything and everything from violence aavaraa oppression, ignoring those very same scriptures that advocate love and inclusion and non-violence.

This is a book that just wants to hit you with the past, and that it does. Aavarana stirred a major controversy in Tthe. Aavarana does not show any sympathy to reader and is more like an assault on the reader with very thought-provoking and compelling arguments that make a reader think.
But Byrappa does lot of yhe, with hard evidence for his logic to be proved. The novel was a bestseller in Kannada, Gujarati, Tamil and other vernacular languages. This was one of the first Kannada translations of the author. This books questions the way we are taught history and rebels against sugar-coating history to make it politically correct.

I am fed up with debates and discussions on Aavarana. As the author states, “The reader too shares an equal responsibility with the author in his quest for truth” So much for the democracy of our country which stands by the motto: He writes in the south Indian aavaeana, Kannada, and has been the bestselling novelist for over 25 years now.

Bhyrappa has reiterated that something was written in his novel. This book just tells the truth. But I was taken by surprise for it turned out to be way more than Hampi. I am sure I will read this one again in a few years, it is going in my perma It is apparent from the very beginning that this is a lofty book that makes you question the nuances of religions you aavaeana around you.
